WHO:

Calling all Asian Pacific Americans and supporters of the Asian Pacific American community!!!

WHAT:  

Co-sponsored by OCA – Chicago and City of Chicago

Please join us for our annual Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Kickoff celebration.  This year’s host, the Japanese American Service Committee welcomes you to celebrate and kickoff the 2011 Heritage Month of cultural activities in Chicago.  This year’s Kickoff partners include: Asian American Coalition of Chicago – Host Thai community, the City of Chicago Commission on Human Relations - Advisory Council on Asian Affairs and dozens of local government Asian American Liaisons who will be present to help launch the 2011 APA Heritage Month events in Chicago.  

The program will include presentations by the partnering organizations and Liaisons, with cultural performances graciously presented by the Japanese American Community. Finally, information will be provided on various Japanese  Disaster Relief efforts. (If you like donate, please bring a check!)   

A FREE light lunch and reception will follows!
